Linda Tilley

I have been a counselor for 3 decades. I am a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta, Canada. I also am a Clinical Counseling Hypnotherapist and a Level 1 BWRT™ practitioner.

Through my years of counseling I have dealt with a number of different specialty areas (including childhood abuse, youth justice, educational assessment and consulting, highly sensitive people, and workplace bullying). But since the early 2000's I have become increasingly interested in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), especially in adults.

I have a very pragmatic approach to counselling. I use a theoretically integrated approach, meaning that I draw my techniques from a variety of different therapy modalities. Those include traditional psychotherapeutic approaches, but I also am very interested in what is going on in the brain, and how that related to our behaviour. And apart from therapy, I also will support clients in whatever way I think might be helpful: suggestions regarding diet, exercise and supplements, behavioral activation, meditation, and whatever else seems appropriate at the time.

I have spent a lot of time thinking about why we behave the way we do, and why change is so difficult for many of us. I have been privileged to work with some very hard working and insightful clients who have helped me to understand those behaviours and challenges. This has resulted in some novel approaches, particularly to ADHD.

I started CambiumEd as a way to share with others the wisdom that I have gained from my clients over the years. I hope you will find the resources here helpful.
